Tea with the Queen!

Posted on 7th January, 2015

Our employees do like to mix in elite circles! Frazer North, Area Sales Manager at Weiss Technik UK, has been invited to a Garden Party hosted by none other than Her Majesty the Queen, at Buckingham Palace, London, UK in May of this year.

The invitation comes in recognition by The Lord Lieutenant of The East Riding of Yorkshire for Frazer’s charity work and involvement and organisation of various events during 2014.

Four years ago, retired Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) solider Frazer was responsible for forming a new branch of the British Legion in Hornsea, East Yorkshire, UK.

He has taken on the role of Parade Marshall for the branch and is responsible for resurrecting and running the town’s annual Remembrance Parade which hasn’t been held for nearly 20 years.

Frazer also formed and chaired a committee ‘1914 - Hornsea Remembers’ made up of members of a number of local organisations which organised several events to mark the centenary of the outbreak of WW1.

The culminating event, held on 4th October 2014, was an evening of music and poetry of the WW1 era with a performance from the Military Wives Choir and presentations on the lives and family of those from the town that fell in battle during WW1.

The evening was attended by The Lord Lieutenant, The Mayor, Senior Army officers and approx. 500 people from the town. It was a resounding success raising thousands of pounds for the Poppy appeal.

Frazer North, take a bow.
